4-26-09: Toronto Blue Jays at Chicago White Sox
Jose Contreras went back on the mound for the White Sox yesterday against Roy Halladay and the Blue Jays. He hadn’t had a quality start all year, so it was a bit nerveracking.
Contreras gave up two runs to the Jays in the first inning, and I thought it would be a long game. Quickly, the White Sox came back with another run. In the end, Contreras pitched good, but the Sox lost 4-3.
This is short because I never watched any of the White Sox game with the Bulls game on and the race at Talladega.
3 Stars of the Game
1. Jose Contreras: Came back from 3 rocky starts and allowed only 3 runs in 7.0 innings.
2. Roy Halladay: Pitched great, nearly the same statistics as Contreras, but with more strikeouts. The reason I chose Contreras over him is because Contreras was great mentally.
3. Adam Lind: 1-for-2, with 2 walks and 2 RBI and a double.
And an update on other things……
Basketball: The Bulls won a thrilling double overtime game against Boston to even the series at 2-2.
NASCAR: Reed Sorenson finished 11th at Talladega as Brad Kesolowski came away with the win. Two big crashes, search “Carl Edwards crash Talladega” on ”youtube.”
Connecticut Defenders: Brett Pill went 1-for-5 with a single and 2 RBI in Connecticuts 20-15 win! 20-15!!!!
Swine Flu: Some may be nervous or scared…..I say: BRING IT ON!
