To all of the zero people that read this……..I have a plea for you. All-Star Game voting has already begun, and I just ask of you a few things.

• Wait to cast your vote. Voting ends at the beginning of July! How can you get an idea of the best players in the game in April? There are still more than 2 months before the voting expires, so hold your votes. You could be voting for a player hitting .350 now, and then he coul be hitting .200 in July. So wait.
• Vote for the All-Stars. I don’t like to see the Red Sox-Yankees-Ichiro play the Mets. Vote for the players that deserve honors. Last year, Jason Varitek made the All-Star Game with a .217 batting average, and this was from the player vote. I realize this isn’t the fans as much, but still. If a .217 hitter makes it, the whoe American League should. David DeJesus of the Royals didn’t make it for some odd reason after hitting over .300. So please vote for the deserving players.

That’s all I ask. Wait, and vote for the actual All-Stars. Look at stats, compare players, do whatever, but vote for whoever is worthy. Don’t sit there and vote for everyone on your favorite team. I don’t want to see anymore Jason Varitek’s in the All-Star Game, I want to see more David DeJesus’s!. Let’s make 2009 the first true All-Star Game since 1970, with true All-Stars!
